9 Overdosed At Zeds Dead Concert! [News]

Tragedy strikes at a Zeds Dead concert as many people overdosed on the dance floor. At The Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA, Zeds Dead cancelled the concert early as kids as young as 15 and adults as old as 25 overdosed. I wasn’t at the concert but at night, I was getting texts from my friends saying that about 9 people (7-8 teens) overdosed and a rumor that 1 person died (not true). We don’t know what the causes are but I know it would have to be something very strong to knock out these people. The people who overdosed will make a recovery though.

It was an all ages even which was the worst part, you don’t bring kids into an adult situation and security must of been low to let lethal drugs in the concert venue! That’s just awful. Also, the concert was cancelled at 10:30PM, when the opening DJ was on! You should’ve kicked those kids out and let the people who wanted to see Zeds Dead and the people who could fully control themselves stay and not let them waste there money! They should get a refund!

This has nothing to do with Zeds Dead, I love them. They are a very talented Dubstep group with a banger style. I would’ve loved to see that! But overall, the security crew of The Electric Factory should be fired, it should’ve been an 18+ event, and they should’ve kicked the stupid people out and let the show keep going! I feel bad for the people who paid 25 to 50 dollars for tickets and just seeing the opener and not the main act! Thats just wrong!

I just got word that they did perform at LiT Ultrabar in Philly instead of The Electric Factory, so whoever saw that on their Twitter, good find! They will reschedule the concert. Announcements will be done on Monday by The Electric Factory. They do want to reschedule the event which is very nice to do.

Um except for it’s not security’s fault at all, I don’t care how well they search drugs are still going to get into every damn rave. Zeds Dead plays all ages shows because they can fill up the bigger venues that way, and making every one of their shows 21+ would suck, what about all of their younger fans? It’s entirely the people who OD’d who are to blame for this one, they need to not be stupid – sorry, but it’s true. Security and the venues do their damn best to make these shows happen, it is not their job to babysit ravers and they understandably did not want to get blamed by media and the community for letting a show with that many OD’s go on. I work security at a venue and I love electronic music but I hate workingraves, you get a million little kids doing drugs in their underwear and trust me there’s not much you can do about it.
