PVD, Mord Fustang, Bro Safari, and Pendulum Do Work At Soundgarden Hall On Thanksgiving Break! [Concert Review]
Hope everybody had a great break for Thanksgiving! I know we at Club Marco did! We went to 2 shows in the past 5 days and it was pretty amazing! Headlining at Soundgarden Hall, located in Philadelphia was Paul Van Dyk and Pendulum! Mord Fustang and Bro Safari were openers for Pendulum but I’m gonna go by sets here. We were all surprised and had special moments when we saw these sets. Me and Marco went to Pendulum as I alone went to see Paul Van Dyk. Now, here’s the thing.
I got at least ten minutes of each producers opening act and it will show you how they perform and what they perform with. Usual decks or maybe a Launchpad and a MIDI controller. How they all perform though was a sight to see and you will see how it all went down!
Paul Van Dyk’s Set: November 21st, 2012:
Now, I am not very familiar with the whole Trance scene and for me, I was very excited to see because I heard amazing reviews for it! He came on guns blazing with Trance and LED lights up above. He set up the stage with an amazing performance for 2 hours straight. Again, I taped it and I still don’t know most of the songs, but he did a well done set!
Mord Fustang’s Set: November 24th, 2012:
Mord Fustang’s set I did enjoy very much! The mix between Progressive House, Electro and Dubstep had a very Zedd like feel! Also, at 20 years old and using a Launchpad, he was looking a lot like Deadmau5. Playing his remix of “In The Air” and his “Lick The Rainbow” hit was just amazing to hear! An awesome set!
Bro Safari’s Set: November 24th, 2012:
Filled with Trap, Dubstep, and Moombahton, Bro Safari was a crowd favorite and also a good opener for Pendulum. He was very well done, the one thing I was confused about was when he started with Trap when he’s mostly a Moombahton artist. He got in the Moombahton spirit after his Trap section of his set. It was a great set overall!
Pendulum’s Set: November 24th, 2012:
My favorite this Thanksgiving break was Pendulum. The DJ set was magical and MC Ben Verse burned the house down with amazing energy! They played everything under the sun Pendulum wise! “Salt In The Wounds”, “Propane Nightmares”, “Slam”, and much more. I had a great time with there set and just mindblowing to see my idols Pendulum!
